This art piece represents Alaska Native love. Within an Alaska Native drum are two people facing each other. The growing tundra plant and elements confined in one drum represents the joining of two people. Ancestral hands represent the backgrounds of both people, their heritage, and history. The imagery of two moons represent a moon and it’s reflection upon the ocean, a motif representing companionship among Tagiugmiut: Sea People.
